As a librarian of color in Florida, who once managed a library is a rural community, I thank you and salute you. Your efforts will be rewarded by the robust environment created by diversity and inclusion. As the old folks used to say, "Keep on, keeping on".

As a white Children's Librarian in a small rural community in Indiana who is trying to implement Anti-Racist practices into my work life without getting "chased out of town", I really appreciated seeing this article. I also just received an Addressing Racial Equity grant to address issues surrounding racism through children's and adult books, and I am having to bite my tongue and log off social media a lot this year because of the vitriol hate and unconscious racism I am constantly seeing show up in posts. It took a bit for me to realize that my efforts were better spent increasing the diversity of my collection and bringing in diverse "virtual presenters" in connection with the schools than they were trying to get into a rational discussion online.
