This title continues to crawl up the rankings. I can see how this could be a game where social engagement (the game's active community) allows it to maintain/improve its ranking over time (as Racing Rivals has).
Doing much better than OK. 250K new installs, #31 grossing #3 free, 1.1 million DAU's. Reviews are the best I've seen for any Glu game. Share price isn't giving this game much credit.
This game continues its upwards crawl. It now generates almost $100k / day from 2m DAU (in US), and has improved rankings on both AppAnnie & ThinkGaming's free & grossing charts....
This does not seem to be enough to get the stock on an uptrend again. They need additional releases to perform as well.
I agree Kurt. It hasn't moved the stock. But their recent releases do seem to be improving (albeit K&K was fairly short lived). This is a good result for a Tap Sports release. There are some early signs that GLUU's "social engagement strategy" may actually be working for this game. Although its still way too early to tell.
The sports studio is good, the Dash studio also is improving execution, but their larger Long Beach and Washington (shooter?) locations need alot of work - less quantity more quality should be the goal. It also takes time for a CTO to makes his mark especially with geographically disparate studios and what I assume is a fragmented codebase and lack of company cohesiveness - I will personally be waiting for the next racing game pilot as a catalyst before I may re-enter since Long Beach staff were able to produce a great product in the past in that specialization - you have to assume a racing game will come this year since they were targeting two of them in 2015. WeFire game doesn't look promising at this point - pilot not doing well and other similar games in the market haven't cracked top 50 - I think Glu is understanding they need to make bigger bets in creativity but again, design/development takes time so may be several months more before we see any sign of original innovation.
Thanks for your insight Remi. Fully agree WeFire doesn't look promising. I think I will vastly reduce my position if there's a bump on earnings. With this stock, Something usually happens around earnings (good or bad).
Nice start for Gordon Ramsey Dash in beta...lets see how it holds
