I'm up for mentoring. I can't guarantee hours per day but happy to answer questions and come up with things to build.

EXCITING! I will take you up on your offer, if that's ok! I'm stuck on a few things and I'm thrilled that there is a place where I can come ask "stupid" questions without fear. Awesome!

@kennethlove and other folks willing to mentor women, would you be willing to hold online sessions (via irc or G+ hangouts <-- harder for more than 10) for simple topics like 1. what is a virtualenv and how to use it, 2. how imports work, 3. python packages, etc..

@SVAKSHA: more than happy to do hangouts or some other type of communal meeting to explain concepts and field general questions.

I am *very* new at Python and looking for a mentor....I want very much to learn, but coding and its associated thought processes do not come naturally to me at all, and I'm finding it impossible to progress on my own.

Hi, I'm trying to re-vamp my skills as I'm re-entering the workforce after being a stay-at-home mum for over 3 years. I've previously used python with C++ to make very simple RTS games for research purposes, and haven't really had any 'real' experience with web development. I would love someone who can give me a project to code and help me with questions I have, I'm finding myself floundering a bit trying to do it all on my own. I'm not really sure yet what I want to focus on, so right now I'd be happy trying anything out. I'm not planning on going back into academia, and I don't think I'll be going into game development either... for a variety of reasons.
