Thanks for sharing your story, Kristen. I am Victoria and am planning to share my journey. I am 65 and have lived with chronic pain for years and years. 5 major back surgeries and both knees totally replaced 1 in 2005 the other in 2010.
I victoriadyannyoung just now I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2001. diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2001. I've had random problems with my hands like dropping a glass of tea and other things. The pains in my thumbs and joints would sometimes make me cry. I've seen rheumatologist for years and always they said no RA. My mother at one time had Lupus, RA, and autoimmune hepatitis at the same time. She was hospitalized and near death. My youngest sister has lupus. My other sister has both knees replaced and lives with chronic pain. I have recently been diagnosed with seronegative RA. I cannot take these RA medicines as I am very sensitive. I decided to fight this with diet and exercise. I've cut out sugar, wheat, flour, corn and dairy. Well, I have a splash of cream in my coffee. In 5 weeks I have lost 22 pounds and for the first time in years am within my healthy BMI range! I exercise at the gym 5 days a week. I am determine by prayer, diet, and exercise to get t his thing into remission. I am reading everything I can on people who have fought for their health and are recovering. Thanks for your story! I wish you all the best on your journey! Victoria
Thank you Victoria. It is so unfortunate how autoimmune disease runs in families. I experienced the dropping of glasses too, just thought I was being clumsy! Hope you join the facebook group too, lots of support and info. Good luck to you on your journey.
