I use my iPad and I got second place last time. Doesn't matter just put effort in that's all they are looking for
> @rappad:Mechas > I feel like it might not be fair for some people that only have a simple laptop and a mic to record. Not everyone has a studio were they can sound at high quality. The majority of Rappaders don't have studios lmfao just gotta learn to mix right and have a decent mic. You can get Audacity, a free mixing program that's easy to use, and a mic. If you need help finding those click here http://www.rappad.co/blog/microphone-guide-for-rappers

Not everyone has a studio were they can sound at high quality You can go a long way using free stuff, but I mean you're right that they have an advantage but you're wrong that it's unfair. These are people who have invested in their music more than the average person, so how is it unfair?
i started off with audacity, and a usb Rock Band mic from my xbox 360...
I recorded my entry with my cellphone lol, came out a little sloppy but i think it'll still get the vibe across
I just have my laptop and audacity, and use it to make all my music. I've never won a cypher, but I'm usually top 10.

YOU HAVE GOT A NICE MIC
I recorded a song from the built-in mic on my laptop, and with a bit of mixing around in Audacity, I thought it came out pretty decent.
I also recorded on a cell phone......the struggle is real! I actually had to use two phones then I still had to get outside help to make it presentable. It was hard and the reason why I don't do this much.
