Tool Tips - at this early stage some sort of mouse-over feedback would be incredibly helpful to new players in getting an understanding of what does what and how various synergies inter relate to each other.

Tile proximity bonuses - make certain tiles bonus production or cut timing to certain synergistic tiles. IE - pastures next to ponds complete in 15m instead of 20m. Similar to what is done with well timing vs nearby buildings affecting aquafers.
Capability to toggle tile active state. Allow for on/off toggle on gather nodes.
When storage is full workers will usually destroy the item(wood, wheat or whatever). Rather the workers should rest that way the material will not be destroyed and that will also minimize the cost for workers at a given time.
