to search by the amount of the Trade in Value for amazon? Not the most expensive product, but the most expensive trade in amount. Thanks!

Hello, Unfortunately no, not interactively. It was one of the undocumented features I was really hoping to discover, but so far have not been able to. Having said that, I have developed an offline script that uses some of the same techniques that went into the creation of this site to compile some interesting data sets of Amazon data. I posted some of these data sets on reddit, see: https://www.reddit.com/user/httpsocool/posts/. One of the data sets I can mine through those scripts is a list of highly-valued trade-in items. If you'd like, I can run my script that puts together a list like this for you if you define your criteria -- what department you are looking for, what minimum trade-in value. I will see if I can run it for you.

Thank you for responding! I am looking for books. Minimum trade in value of $100. Thank you!

Books would take longer -- I'd have to get through >500,000 listings. I'll see what I can do though.

I would be willing to pay you as well, especially to own the script.

Your results will be available at this link here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ky-YQAi3iYkMerJ2-BCUumGiatI9ZUcRrtjGrjiESPI/pubhtml . This list will keep updating until the script is done running. The script is not for sale, and no need to pay for the data at this time. Spreading the word about this site is the best way to thank me, so if you participate in any of the online communities (reddit, slickdeals, facebook, twitter) I'd appreciate if you shared a link to http://so.cool there.

Just wondering -- how do use that data? I am thinking of incorporating this functionality into the next (for now hypothetical) version of the site and would like to understand who would be the users of it and what are the use cases. Flipping is the first thing that comes to mind, but I wonder what other scenarios this feature can be useful for.

I try to find the most expensive trade-in books. I buy them inexpensive and trade them into amazon
