site. Looking at the Warehouse Deals. I know I've seen you address this before, that it was a change made by Amazon, but I would just like to give you a little feedback on it as I'm sure that wasn't actually the cause of the problem. I still have one cached version of the site running on one of my devices that still sorts by price (even now I can still use it). I stupidly did not download a copy to my PC so I can't look at what changed in your script, but it was definitely a change that you have made that breaks the sorting (at least for the UK Warehouse). This was my (and others I recommend) main reason for using your site so it would be great to help you get that working again. I can guarantee it's possible by simply going back over you previous JavaScript revisions :-) As a pointer the version I have cached will be between 4 and 8 weeks old.

Awesome job buddy, works perfectly again now :-) I know there's a load of suggestions always being requested here, but here's a couple that I haven't seen mentioned that would be useful. 1. Subscribe and Save Only - Like the way you have implemented the addon items, if that could be expanded to subscribe items that would be cool. I know many regular S&S customers are constantly looking to max their subscribe discount. To sort by price on Subscribe only products would make that so much easier. Not sure what the existing Subscribe and Save toggle does as nothing seems to change when I enable it?? 2. Promotions - There are often "promotions available" for selected and changing products. I think it would be too much work to pull in the promotion details (that would be cool though), but that "promotion available" message does appear on the regular category archives. It would be great to see an icon or something to let you know there is a promotion on that prod uct. Only if it's easy as promotions are most commonly used on Pantry items and that's probably one of the least used sections.

1. What you are describing here is another case of a variation between non-US sites and the US site. I have this feature implemented for the US site and it works just like you described -- check out the S&S shortcut in the top right corner while having Amazon.com selected. I think I can fix it for the UK site though, so hang tight. 2. Can you give me an example search that includes these "promotion available" items? I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestions.

1. Thought that might be the case, and yes it works perfectly. Would be great to get that working for the UK. 2. Sure. I have looked a little more and found the message varies, the one I mentioned seems to only appear on Amazon fulfilled 3rd party offers so ignore that. The messages that appear on Amazon promotions do state the promotion details eg. Save £2 or Save 5% etc.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Ddrugstore&field-keywords=Oral-B+Pro+2+2000N https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Ddrugstore&field-keywords=Glade+Solid+Gel+Relaxing+Zen+ Pantry item promotions show up a little differently eg. 20% voucher available https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=srs%3D5782660031%26search-alias%3Dpantry&field-keywords=Pedigree+

I just ran a couple of the items that come up in your sample searches through my search and I see badges showing the current promotions showing up in my results grid: https://i.imgur.com/mfa69rK.png. Is this not what you expect to see?

Ah, I'm blind :-P Do you think you might be able to get it working like the US Has Coupon functionality? That's a great feature.

socool

All set. Both the S&S stuff and the coupon filter should now be working in the UK. Ctrl-F5 the page and give it a try.

That was quick, and works perfectly. I've already used it to add another subscription :-)

This would be typically ironic if t's the case, but have all other regional sites just updated Warehouse in line with the US? Most prices disappeared earlier, now it's broken again, and cached versions not working either.

johnlawrence

It's really odd. You can get it to work by selecting Warehouse in your region, then switching to and back from certain other regions. Works for UK if you switch to France, select filters, then back to UK. Changing page or adding new filters breaks sorting by price though.

Odd indeed. I was able to reproduce it both ways -- the disappearing prices and the normal behavior. I am guessing the UK instance is slowly transitioning to the same code version as the one deployed in the US, and depending which particular Amazon server is handling your request it either works or it doesn't. I suggest you observe this for a few more days and post your observations here.

Observing the last 24 hours, Warehouse UK can't be loaded at all, you just see the "sit tight" message. Also, ignoring Warehouse for a minute, all other categories are missing a large number of products all of a sudden. Taking the UK (as that's what I'm most familiar with) and selecting all items, the prices start from 14p, where as they used to start from 1p or 2p items. Those 2p items are all still available on Amazon, but they don't show up on here. That's just an obvious example, items are missing at all price points, in fact I think it's the majority of items that are missing.

OK, so it's pretty obvious Amazon UK is undergoing some changes. Can you post links to some of the 2p items that disappeared?

Only one as I've previously ordered it - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0014GPS6K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I only found those items via your search, almost impossible otherwise. It seems like an automatic filter is applied, possibly in the same way as Amazon's own search. Like when searching on Amazon, you may get 500 results by relevance, but when you click to order by price, most disappear and you end up with only 5 items (an example, numbers vary massively, but you never see all items sorted by price on Amazon).

So here is what I get when I select Amazon.co.uk and pick the "All Amazon-sold items sorted by price" shortcut: https://i.imgur.com/CoYSeyl.png . I see that your 2p item is there, as well as some others costing 4p. Is that not what you are seeing? Can you post a screenshot of what you see to imgur as well as the exact steps that got you there? I will now look at the Warehouse issue you reported.

Similarly to the above, Warehouse deals in the UK seem to work OK for me: https://i.imgur.com/goJNHsu.png, so if you could post a screenshot illustrating the problem you are seeing as well as where you clicked in order to get there, I may be able to figure it out. Thanks.

Not sure where my previous reply disappeared to?? Just said that all was working perfectly. Now it's not again. Same issues as before, no warehouse, and missing items. Like you say, absolutely must be Amazon playing about, but it's really odd, every few hours it works and then it doesn't. If you want to see what I mean, it's doing it right now, here's a pic - https://imgur.com/a/ZM9p3 Not doing anything unusual - CTRL+F5, select UK, select All Amazon.

OK, so given the erratic nature of this behavior I think what we should do is to wait a bit for it to shake out before I make any code changes. So let's keep an eye on it and once we get to a point that the UK site behaves consistently we'll see what needs to be done with so.cool in order for it to work properly.

It seems to have settled. General sections are working perfectly. Warehouse appears to have now permanently switched to the newer format, no longer price sorting, and the majority of prices aren't visible

OK, I removed the special handling that I've put in for the UK and some other European sites at your request a few weeks ago, so the functionality for those sites is now consistent with the US instance of Amazon. The fact that we lost accurate price sorting is unfortunate, but at least you can see the correct prices. As always, you may need to do a full refresh of so.cool (Ctrl-F5) to pick up the change.

Hi again. I've been checking on this for the last couple of weeks. Didn't want to mess you around so wanted to make sure this time. For the last 10 days your previous update has been working again on Warehouse deals. Price sorting and showing most/all prices correctly. I'm using the version where you had branched the logic. I haven't noticed any issues with it for 10 days.
