ply browse a category/department (without entering search terms) and even go into the subcategories? I'd like to be able to browse the various sections of Grocery without having to wade through a million PrimePantry items that I'm not at all interested in.

Yes! If I understand your question correctly. Enter any search term related to the category you want to browse, and once you see the search results page find the category you want to browse in the department filter area. There will be a small "All" button next to the category name. Clicking that button should achieve the desired effect (again, if I understand your question correctly). Thanks for writing!

Oh, I didn't even see the categories further down the page, I'm used to them being at the top on Amazon itself.

You must be using the site on mobile, and I must admit the user experience on mobile is not great. If you were browsing from a desktop or a laptop the department filter would have been on the right of the search results, much more prominent. Maybe one day I'll get to optimizing the mobile experience.

Nah, not on mobile. It's about two full screens down from the top of the page for me, though, which is why I initially missed it.

OK, that must be a screen resolution or browser window size issue then. Maybe try maximizing your browser window if it is not already maximized.

I do have it maximized, and my res is 1680x1050.

Very interesting! If you could share a screenshot I can take a look at it. What browser are you using? Maybe try using a different one?

Here's the full page as I see it in Firefox: [Link](http://puu.sh/t8bLd.png) Starting at the top of the page, if I press Page Down once, the top of the Departments list is at the very bottom of the screen on the right. (From the top of the page, my usual window size shows down to the top 1/3 of the "Price" filter heading, which leaves me a visible area of 1663x864. I don't have any third-party toolbars, but I do have the menu bar visible, two toolbars for buttons, and the tab bar, plus a status bar at the bottom.)

Ah, OK, it actually looks as expected. I got confused because on mobile the entire filter area that you see on the right starts under the results, which is what I thought you were seeing. Sorry if you didn't find the current layout user-friendly. Like I mentioned in another thread on this page, I built this tool mostly for my own use (you can probably tell that there is no money-making features on this site, no ads, no referral links) and didn't pay much attention to usability. Hope you can still get some use out of it. Thank you for sharing your experience!
