The dreaded sleeping bag conversations

Help So on the group chat we were discussing the vango 400 & 300 now (being a girl 😉) I don't understand all these numbers So I looked at them both & made notes, I also looked st the 900 although slightly heavier it's no bulkier, the extreme temperature was -22 (400=-20) & comfort was 0 (400=2) so does this mean with a liner the 900 is suitable? Thanks Confused

Race brief specifies a comfort rating of 0 so I would say is suitable as it is (no liner).

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EN_13537 for an explanation of the different ratings.

Hi Jilly, we sent an email out explaining we would accept the comfort limit for women as a basis, so a 300 or a 400 would be ok. However, we strongly recommend using the Comfort scale. As a guide, here's something that may make the decision making process easier. I hope it does at least, as sometimes when I try to simplify things - it makes it more difficult! So by my understanding this would pass for a male? I would use a silk liner too! [IMAG2546_1](//muut.com/u/spine-race/s3/:spine-race:cgsx:imag2546_1.jpg.jpg)

For clarity, it says Comfort 0deg, lowest -7 degrees
