To make it always visible, unlock taskbar. To temporary show it, you may use dynamic transparency and open start menu, or place windows under it.
Not sure what I did but no matter what I do, the system tray always keeps showing even with just the Centered Segment is selected. Here's how it looks https://snipboard.io/74k8T5.jpg Unfortunately, I want the System Tray to hide while using only the central segment. In your case, if you want to access the system tray, just check the Dynamic Transparency option and press the Windows button on the keyboard.
Lock the taskbar
Thanks for the suggestion. It worked but that's not very intuitive and also you can't lock the taskbar while you have the Segments option on. So it would be great if the hidden system tray would be an actual option without depending on the locking of the taskbar.
A keyboard shortcut to simply temporarily display the system tray is still my requested suggestion. Can we or can we not do that?
Keyboard shortcut is Win key. Or you want a shortcut to toggle?
Win+B hotkey focuses notification area. In this version focusing notification area shows it http://startisback.com/StartAllBack_setup.exe
