1. Why do you need the list sorted? 2. Which items do you miss?
1. For aesthetic reasons and for being able to find something more quickly. It's easier when the list is sorted, especially with a long list. 2. Some of the Control Panel items that will not appear with a direct search: Network and Sharing Center, Change adapter settings, View Devices and Printers, Programs and Features (Uninstall a program) etc. It seems that many settings that use the old UI are not directly accessible any more (default Start Menu also behaves this way).
Is there a chance for the sorting?
Not likely.
Another year (and a half) passed so I might just again. Any chance for the sorting please? Imagine a long, small-font recent/frequent list. It is quite hard to visually locate an item when unsorted. I don't know if there's any logic behind these lists (less frequent at the top/bottom, recently accessed at the center?) but they certainly look random to the eye. Thus: hard to locate items for eye/mouse combination.
Use all apps list
Ok, but that's a workaround. I might as well just type what I'm looking for and press enter. All slower solutions. I guess I'll ask again next year...!
