"Display as flyout menu" does nothing

I don't know why, but this option does nothing. Opening submenus in the start menu opens as cascading items within the same menu whether it's on or off. Restarting didn't help either. I just have a standard Windows 11 Home installation, I'm not even sure what other info to give.

Can you provide a screenshot of the issue and setting?

Here's the option in question, SAB: [Setting](//muut.com/u/startisback/s2/:startisback:BOcn:setting.png.jpg) And this is what the menu looks like with it on: [Issue](//muut.com/u/startisback/s1/:startisback:NIlD:issue.png.jpg) And off: [Issue2](//muut.com/u/startisback/s1/:startisback:VA7h:issue2.png.jpg) The only difference is that it put the folder at the bottom for some reason.

Welp I guess you need something to display on the left - pin apps or allow recent ones.

I don't understand what you're saying. All my start menu programs and directories are displayed on the left, I provided screenshots of it.

Okay I added pinned apps, I see what you mean now. Is this the only way that the option works? Would it be possible in some future build to have flyout without the All Programs link needing to be accessible? Anyway, thank you, I get what's going on now.
