It is probably something wrong in the registry, but I just have no idea what is wrong. Also, here is what the context menu looks like when I right click on PowerShell in the programs list: [75n4Kw3cvH](//muut.com/u/startisback/s1/:startisback:6msP:75n4kw3cvh.png.jpg). As you can see, it also has the little shield UAC icon, unlike the context menu for an application in the search.
I could disable UAC, but that would cause issues with stuff like drag and dropping and it would be less secure. Security is not too much of a concern for me though, as I dual boot Linux for stuiff that needs to be kept secure.
Some shell context menu extensions are known to break this functionality
Which shell extensions?

I fixed it! I found these: https://www.tenforums.com/general-support/49768-run-administrator-file-does-not-have-program-associated.html https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/200558-run-administrator-add-remove-context-menu-windows-7-a.html I simply downloaded the `Remove_bad_Run_as_administrator.reg`, `Restore_Run-as-administrator.reg` and `Remove_Run-as-administrator.reg`. Then I ran the `Remove_bad_Run_as_administrator.reg` first, then the `Remove_Run-as-administrator.reg` and finally the `Restore_Run-as-administrator.reg`. Now when I right click on shortcuts from the search, it has the shield UAC icon and works fine. I don't think it was anything to do with shell extensions. I ran the registry files with NSudo to make sure that it works. [Explorer_oFyPOpzf7c](//muut.com/u/startisback/s1/:startisback:azUU:explorer_ofypopzf7c.png.jpg)
