No response from Ochre, Bleep, and Aramex over the last 3 days. The packages are either lost or locked up in customs. According to Ochre tracking it looks like the packages are still in customs. Crazy to just get no response from anyone on this. These aren't cheap purchases.
It could be a result of new tariffs on imports from EU to US. Radio silence is extremely frustrating nonetheless.
Yeah exactly. At least tell us that we shouldn't expect them anytime soon or offer a refund. Also their business is shipping. This should be anticipated and they should have processes for if/when things like this come up.
Simply not saying anything only creates frustration.
Latest reply from Ochre: pologies for the delay. Our warehouse manager has advised customers that have not received any correspondence regarding customs clearance to contact DPD generic customer service line quoting your tracking number. DPD Contact number: 0121 275 0500
I've been communicating with DPD since last Thursday. They keep mentioning Aramex, and say that someone will be reaching out. Still nothing. If we never receive the package who is responsible for refunding us? DPD or Bleep? Or do we just lose? lol.
Was just informed by DPD that in 10 days I'll be able to 'escalate' my complaint. Heads up to anyone in the US who still hasn't received their package, this might be the best way to go.
Calling Aramex was a waste. They referred me to FedEx with a new tracking number, and of course FedEx has a shipping label for it but hasn't received a package yet. So I think I will try escalating with dpd when that becomes available.
DPD told me that bottom line, it's US Customs that's holding the shipment (all of our records are together!). The DPD rep said he doubted there would be any additional fees/duties based on the value of the shipments, so hard to see why Aramex would be sitting on them.
just chiming in to say i've also got this problem, which i didn't ask about till early last week. bleep finally wrote me back on friday told me to call DPD which i did and the automated reply said they'd tried to deliver but i wasn't home. this was clearly not true (the original tracking site provided by bleep still said "being held at customs") and i'm starting to feel scammed.
...not by the group or bleep. but something seems fishy.
hope you guys get your records soon, and that they will sure that the next batch of reissues will not land in the same situation
Yes, I would start an incident with DPD. Once you create an incident you will have to wait 10 days to escalate. Seems to be one of the only options out there as Ochre/Bleep and Aramex have no answers. Whether it's a customs issue or a shipping provider issue, the communication around what happened is terrible. I will definitely think twice about ordering from Bleep/Orchre related stores in the future. These reissues weren't cheap.
Just today, a sudden tracking update on the Aramex website: Shipment Arrived at Aramex Destination Facility - Will be Updated Once Ready for Collection/Delivery
Things are finally heading in the right direction. The FedEx tracking number that Aramex gave me now shows that the records are expected to be delivered to me tomorrow.
I also just got a "Your FedEx package is out for delivery" email so yay.
I got a mysterious "Fedex has delivered a package to you at the front desk" email from the front desk of my apartment building. I'm at work, so who knows what that could be.
No update from Bleep, Orchre, Aramex, or DPD. I checked my tracking number this morning and it looks like it has the first activity since Sept 3rd and that it's moving out of customs. Exciting stuff, but I really hope the LPs were stored in a safe place for the last month.
Mine arrived today, hooray! The vinyl doesn't appear to be any worse for the delay. Sadly I did not match five cliffs. Hope everyone else gets theirs today.
Got mine yesterday. So far everything seems ok with them, but I still have a few discs left to listen to. Awesome reissues and worth the wait, but man that was annoying lol. I wonder if these are the same customs issues that the groop are running into with their merch tables on tour right now.
