I passed the Exam and wow what a feeling it was. I would like to thank my parents, my awesome wife and little sisters for supporting me, specially my son for letting me study out of his time. Thanks to Luke Ahmed for the great facebook group and blog and Ahmed Khatib for the whatsapp group. The discussions in both these groups are excellent and help you retain important concepts. I have been a passive user but used to solve all the questions whenever I had time. MOTIVATIONS The things that motivated me were the value of CISSP and the desire to see “How Hammad cracked the CISSP”. MY SWOT Analysis I have rich experience in cryptography and asset control but I was bad, really bad in network security. I build up my concepts from the very basics and that took me some time. MY STUDY SOURCES 1-Sybex study guide 7th Edition, Highlighted important points first time and went through them one week before exam. 2- Cybrary videos, viewed them nearly 3 times. I would highly recommend these videos. 3- Eric Conrad 11th Hour Study Guide in Last week before exam. A lot of youtube video s for concepts and my own notes. TESTS SOURCES Cccure practice questions. Try to give at least 3 full 250 questions quizzes. I was getting between 75 to 83 percent in them. Sybex tests Mcgraw Hill tests and Elsevier Test. The tests are nowhere close to the exam but helps in making your concepts solid. THE DAY BEFORE THE TEST Very important day and while you can find a lot of tips for test day you will find very less for this day. Don’t try to cram anything. There are no abbreviations in CISSP. Just go through your notes and eat and sleep. Assure yourself that it will be a happy day tomorrow. Never leave any important revision for last day. Have a healthy sleep. Make a time table for test. How much time you will spend on 100 questions etc and when you will take break. This is very important. Keep your target time of maximum 1 minute per question. THE BIG DAY Take snacks with you Try to reach at least 1 hour before to calm your nerves before test. Think it’s just another exam. Don’t rush for the answers. Read the question at least twice and when you are done with the answer repeat the question and your selected option to see if it makes sense. It depends on personal preferences but don’t stretch the test for more than 4 hours because you will start to lose focus. I flag 21 questions for review and changes just two answers. Practicing for full test helps at this time. I took two breaks one of 15 minutes and another of 5 minutes. Breaks are crucial so take them according to a plan. I wish all aspirants best of luck.

GREAT JOB Hammad! It's amazing how similar your study plan was to mine i.e. taking my own notes, watching YouTube, and reading Shon Harris. The Sybex had not come out when I was studying, but wow I have to say that book is really good! Thank you so much for sharing your experience on the forum! And also, you will see "“How Hammad Cracked the CISSP" on the website!!! Congrats again !!! You did it !
