I appreciate the suggestion, but for the sake of my sanity and keeping everything in context, the guide is cutting off at 2000, as it's only looking at 'modern' versions of each genre. It's focusing on the music you may hear today, rather than going right back to the roots. That's something that Ishkur's guide has taken care of.
I understand. I figure a guide like this would delve to into the backstory of genres that still exist today, but I guess it is kinda pushing it. Ishkur's Guide tends to be laden with sarcasm and criticism, so a guide like yours would probably be more professional. Do what you want with your guide. I'll see if I can recommend any other post-1999 styles soon.
Thanks for the feedback! In an ideal world where I had the time to do it all, I would, but I'm just going to cover the modern stuff for the time being. Once the first revision has been completed - however long that takes -, I will be able to retroactively add earlier eras and provide history to genres that require them. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
Yep, no problem...I am glad to help you out in some way. A guide like this needs a lot of input from people who have lived and breathed the past 2000s decade of electronic music.
I'll gladly accept any help anyone wants to provide if they're particularly knowledgeable about a certain genre!
