** And I had a typo above. I mean Bo raped Tara and lost control, ending in her death, not killed.

@lexala do you mean that the person that searched for them a year ago did not find them but now they are available?

I wouldn’t think the standard would be to wait until DNA came back to arrest a rapist when the person that was raped knew who her rapist was. Could that have been part of the immunity deal..to make that go away too? If so that is insane to take the word of a felon and recent rapist and believe that he himself didn’t commit the murder that used his truck, his families pecan orchard etc and turn the blame on someone else! It is insane anyway but when you stack all of that up....its a blatant disregard for other human beings, Tara, her family, Ryan! In no way is this justice for anyone.

I agree with all that you wrote above. And as we know the case was mishandled from the start right up until Shoudel broke protocol in his dealings with Ryan after he was incarcerated up to Judge Reinhardt being so clearly biased...so...at this point I'm able to believe anything totally shady is possible, even hiding records. I have no faith in the integrity of all related law enforcement, particularly the GBI and corrupt DA Bowden that so blindly believed Bo Dukes words when attempting to solve such a high profile cold case as this one. I'm not a pro-conspiracy theory person but damn this case might be the one exception for me.

I take that back. That was a bad blanket statement/generalization about the integrity of all law-enforcement related to Tara's case/Bo and Ryan. I should have written that I have a very hard time trusting them. My apologies...

Don’t know if this fits ..... cause I’m cloudy on The whole timeline of unfolding events of 2017, but ..... just in case let’s give the law in this case some rope........they know it would be near impossible to prove Bo was the killer due to the lack of physical evidence in Tara’s case ....too many years have passed and too many errors were made initially, so they have a confession by Ryan that’s gets them ( all law past and present ) off the hook, and meanwhile ole Bo who everybody but his momma knows he’s the killer is digging his grave by ( allegedly) repeatedly assaulting and Rapeing these victims which if convicted along with his present sentence will put him in prison till he dies there .... but because of all this ... 3 more women are now living victims ( allegedly) ....

I looked it up. The second arrest of Ryan was Feb 22nd or 23rd. A full month and a few days after this rape was reported. That would still mean this newly indicted rape was ignored for more that 2 almost 3 years!!!!

I wonder how the victim felt knowing she did everything she was supposed to do, going to the hospital and reporting it and nothing happened til now. Then hearing about all of his other crimes in the interim. Fucking hell...

But Skids, why not investigate Bo's claims a little further? And to be fair we still don't know exactly what Ryan said in his confession. He might have said I don't remember a damn thing and then along with the other things he said, again we don't know full context, the GBI thought Hallelujah we've got our guy, we can finally say the case is closed.

They were relieved and jumped the gun.

And not to mention that Hudson Pecan is a HUGE part of the local economy and if somehow there was blow back with Bo being the killer then there goes the neighborhood? I don't know how realistic that is, but maybe it was a consideration...who knows?

What is the priority of all these charges this douche is facing because isnt this also a breach of his federal release on top of everything else this couldnt be a ploy to get him transfered from state to a federal prison? Asking for a friend

So far it looks like the Feds are perfectly happy for Bo to stay in the custody of the good old State of Georgia. If they wanted him, they could have taken him before he started serving his sentence for the Wilcox conviction. I’d guess the new charges would make his stay in the Georgia prison system longer, not shorter.

Is it possible that LE convinced the victim to let them wait until after Ryan’s trial to press charges but then because time has just gone on and on they finally decided they couldn’t wait any longer. I don’t think anyone would have predicted it would take this long for Ryan’s trial to happen.

@maisie - Several possibilities: 1. The police didn’t believe the victim or felt they didn’t have enough evidence in what was basically her word against his. Then we Bo attacked the other two women in 2019, they knew they should have believed her. 2. The police used the above to avoid initially charging Bo because he was a key witness in Tara’s case, and it was important that he did not appear to be a sexual predator. Then after the 2019 charges, the damage was already done. 3. New evidence or a new witness emerged. In any case, it’s pretty terrible that the alleged rape was hidden from the public and particularly if it wasn’t included in the discovery provided to Ryan’s attorneys.

I vote for possibility 2!!! Kept it hidden!!! But don’t you know all kinds of he!! would have broken loose if it came out after Ryan’s trial.
