Did Tara die in her home?

Thu, 07 Feb 2019 20:10:34 GMT

Hey Everyone, i'm new to this podcast. I am currently listening to episode 21 of season 1. I was wondering whether or not anybody knows for sure that Tara wasn't taken to the pecan orchard alive and possibly tortured or more before being killed?

Most likely did not happen in her house

absolutely ,not in her house.

I don’t think so

I don’t think she died in her house either. Although Ryan Duke will probably take the events of that night and the details keep to himself to the grave guilty or not he’s not going to tell all

Ryan has painted himself in a corner. Small town, family shame going on....I am hoping the prosecutor in Bo’s case will lean on him hard to tell the truth in the Grinstead murder....that’s the only way I see the truth coming out.

i personally believe that the Irwin county women's softball jersey that was found back in novemeber 2005 in the woods belonged to tara. Her sister said that tara received one from the softball team every year. She also added she had gone back into her closet to if she had one exactly as this was described, and she did not have one in her home.

i mean the GBI missed tara's necklace on the first search they did on the house. the investigation was horrible

@hart , where was the woods located that the shirt was found in ? Like near the orchard or close to her house ?

Sun, 10 Feb 2019 03:00:12 GMT

they found it on paradise lake on the shore line, or near the shore line, not in the body of water. i am not very familiar with the area but in the map it shows it was ij enigma georgia, going towards tifton

Thank you hart. I know this is way out there but here goes. The judge made the statement a couple of times no body , seems like they would have found some fragments. But what IF she wasn’t ever in the orchard ? We know they both have told lies so how do we really 100 % that was where they / he took her ? Just posing a remote possibility.

100% know - sorry

Sun, 10 Feb 2019 04:47:21 GMT

i have heard from two credible sources that a small bone was found. cant say if its true, however it is my personal opinion they found something.

apparently though the GBI didnt need a body to go ahead and charge ryan with murder. otherwise they would have searched the orchard first and then interview ryan. I am sure bo had told them where the fire pit was. strategy i guess on their part. could have been costly though. ryan could have fled the area or even commit suicide. they gave a whole day to turn himself in

I think the GBI & now DA have more evidence than we have heard about . For example that 411 call we learned about via the leaked confession. Wonder if they ever figured who posted that ?

Sun, 10 Feb 2019 05:25:46 GMT

Good grief ,figured out who posted the confession. We know the phone calls were on the Oxygen special, but the GBI summary 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sun, 10 Feb 2019 06:35:21 GMT

"We believe had there been an altercation, there would be more signs than a broken lamp," said GBI spokesman John Bankhead another good quote from an investigator of the time. the more i think about it,the more firm i am that tara was not killed at her house

Sun, 10 Feb 2019 06:47:43 GMT

i wish we knew the exact time that 411 call was made. i dont like to post everything here, because i like to verify the information . however i did hear that at 1230 am a call came to her house. someone close to dr godwin told me this. according to godwin , anita told him that but never mentioned from who it was. could that have been the gas call? harder to answer that it. anita had tara's landline phone records because she was still paying the bill, that was well known.

Wow , well that is a lot earlier than around daylight , that came out in leaked confession. Obviously the sister knew HD number so it wasn’t him. Wonder who that was ?? Maybe it was from the convenience store but GBI knew about that call. Hmmm not sure we will ever know the whole true story. Her family deserves the truth, especially after 13+ years. Hoping for Justice for Tara and her family & friends.

Well...according to the GBI before the confession, no she didn't die in her home. Or, I guess more accurately, they said they had no evidence or reason to believe she was killed in her home.

Thanks everyone! I am finally getting caught up and listening to the bonus episodes. It doesn't seem like she did. But who knows if we'll ever get the full, honest truth. I feel for her family!
