Missing pieces?

I am a new listener to this podcast and binged on it the past 2 days. It was a lot of information to process, but I feel there are a few nagging unanswered questions, and a gut feeling that we do not have all the pieces to this puzzle. As an avid lover of forensics, I feel the need to see evidence to back up claims before I am able to believe in them, and I feel the evidence, in this case, is severely lacking against Ryan. Here are a few things I noticed/thought/had questions about. 1. Contradictions. My first major concern was the huge contradiction in the story that Bo/Brooke had shared concerning the vehicle that Ryan supposedly used to move Tara's body. It does make a huge difference in the narrative that Bo tells, because if Ryan or both Ryan and Bo used Tara's vehicle, then the reason Bo gives, the threat allegedly from Ryan about "his truck and his land" in reference to pinning Bo for the murder, wouldn't hold up. 2. Lack of evidence. A. I have yet to find anything, from the GBI or local law enforcement agencies, that strongly validate Bo's story. Even Payne mentioned, the GBI "validated" this story, essentially by going to the people he told it to, and having them say, "yes, this is what he told me". How does that prove his story is true? How do we know he didn't feed them all a lie? None of them were witness to this alleged event. If anything, his knowledge only tells me he had first-hand knowledge of this alleged event. B. The law enforcement agencies have never stated they actually found Tara's remains, in fact, I haven't found anything conclusively stating they know for a fact that she is deceased, or how she died. All I have seen is the tight-lipped mention of "evidence", however, all they said was evidence, so how do we know for sure it isn't like the snapdragon burnt down house, where they thought they might have had something, but then didn't? 3. Tara herself. I am bothered by a few puzzles Tara herself left behind. Let's go with the first one, the alleged pageant video that never existed. If you are at a cook-out late at night, past 11 pm, you don't need to make up a lie to excuse yourself from the party, especially after having a long day. The whole video part has never made sense to me and doesn't sit right with me. The second was her over-reaction to her ex potentially seeing another person. This was a girl who broke up with him because she didn't see herself being able to have a future with him. What changed in those 3 weeks of him returning, that she was practically throwing herself at him, begging for another chance, while all along, seeing several other people? It doesn't make sense. 4. The law enforcement agencies. Touching briefly on this, I find it strange, the appearances of cover-ups and misdirections in regards to those investigating the case. I find it suspicious that the one officer was sent back to the police station, rather than being allowed to help search the pecan groove the first time it was searched. The GBI lying about having no previous knowledge of Ryan or Bo, or the pecan groove story is also extremely odd. I saw the screenshots of a conversation between Bo and a GBI agent that reference a meeting a couple months prior to the arrest of Ryan, so I don't feel any of the law enforcement agencies have been completely forthcoming about their knowledge or investigations. 5. The claim that Ryan strangled Tara with his "hand".....I'm sorry, I have serious doubts that a 5'7" guy is going to be able to strangle a girl with one bare hand while drunk. Some of my thoughts. From what evidence did show up on the show, my theory is this. Tara did go home, put her dog out (to presumably to potty), plugged in her phone into her charger, and started to get ready for bed. Something happened around this time, maybe her dog started acting agitated, and she brought her in, only to have her assailants attack her and put the dog back outside, or she never got to bring the dog back in, as the assailants got into the house and attacked her first. Her necklace was found forcibly ripped from her neck, but with the bruises, Bo claimed to have seen around her neck, it is entirely possible that the first method of trying to kill her was by strangling her with her own necklace and then hitting her on the head with the lamp beside her bed. I would be interested in learning if they found the earrings in the pecan grove, whether they ever did any blood testing on her car, in the bedroom or anywhere in the house, I mean, her killer had time, they could have cleaned up any blood they had and tidied up a bit. That isn't far-fetched. I have my doubts that Ryan acted alone and did this in cold blood. I feel Bo is either with-holding the fact he took equal part in it, and Ryan hasn't spoken up about it, as it would instantly incriminate him, or, Bo acted alone, and when everyone, including Ryan, who was known to have blackouts where he wouldn't remember anything, was passed out drunk, a drunk Bo committed the act alone or with his cousin. He and his family were close to the Grinstead family, they lived near each other, the Grinstead family acknowledged this. This may explain the theory that Tara knew her attacker and let him in/left with him, and the dog not reacting and alerting the neighbors to an attack on Tara. Maybe the attack was planned, maybe not. If Tara and Bo were really well acquainted, maybe he went over there that night, but something happened between the two of them. Bo knew of Ryan's drinking issues and his blackouts could have concocted the entire story, and told Ryan after he woke that he killed someone, and made sure he had his story/facts straight and that he told multiple people, just in case it was discovered that Tara met her demise, and her body was burned on his family's property.

If the GBI never received that tip from local LE (and it sounds like they didn't), then I don't think the SOL will be an issue, or at least that's what may be argued.

I’m pretty sure any law enforcement agency having that info starts the clock on the statute of limitations. Especially law enforcement who were still actively investigating the case.

@black The only reason I’m on the side of the prosecution at this moment is I *believe* they have more than just Bo’s statements that implicate Ryan. I’ve speculated as to what they may be. If something comes out to directly implicate Bo or to dispute Bo’s story of how events happened then I will change my opinion. I feel it’s hard not to have a side on this case but to those you have held of any judgement at all are probably better than me. As to calling out someone for being a fanboi I don’t feel that I need to go down that road as I feel that was coaxed out without directly implying so much. Being biased isn’t an inherently bad thing but I feel as much should be known if we’re going to be claiming to have special knowledge is all.

@slick thanks for clearing the air may not always agree with the way things go down with drop and runs and the like but pushing to know exactly what you know is pointless and anyone that doesnt appreciate someone trying to do the right thing obviously has an agenda 😉 thank you for answering my questions over the time ive been on here keep up the good work your doing to see some true justice for Tara her loved ones and others that have been affected by certain peoples actions the only question i would ask would be do you see the truth coming out or do you feel, will politics prevail in keeping the public out of the know ?

Agree- not much use dissecting something that is clearly under the control of someone else who it would seem might be using it as distraction.
