Ryan Duke Evidence

I am late to the game on this one. I recently finished the first season. Is there any publicly available evidence connecting Ryan Duke to Tara's murder other than Bo Dukes' statements? It is possible I missed this during the podcast. However, as far as I can tell, Bo Dukes' self serving statement is the only evidence released to date that connects Ryan to Tara's murder.

If you go to photo number 5, this is a photo of Ryan writing with his right hand. https://www.11alive.com/article/news/investigations/beauty-queen-murder/indictment-gives-new-glimpse-into-last-moments-of-tara-grinsteads-life-possible-motive/85-430717019

Also, info about the glove and the whole right handed/left handed and teeth marks and hole are in this websleuths thread. https://www.websleuths.com/forums/threads/cbs-48-hours-july-1st-9-pm-tara-grinstead-jennifer-kesse.66772/

If you were going to grab someone you would leave your dominant hand free to keep the arms contained

I'm placing a guess out there that they have Ryan's DNA on the glove and not Bo's. And that perhaps Tara's saliva is on the glove giving them a DNA hit on her as well. Again, all a guess. There had to be a reason they arrested Ryan and not Bo for murder.

Do we really think the glove has any real contribution to the case and isn't just a red herring?

Looking at the websleuths link... 1. There is no way to tell from that picture that the "rip" is for certain a bite mark. Certainly can't tell which hand it was being worn on based on the bottom/top teeth. Maybe there is another picture out there that is better. 2. From the video of Ryan signing papers, he clearly is right handed. We think Bo is also right handed based on the date being written on his left hand. I think the left/right handed question is a red herring.

I think in a struggle, its reasonable the assaulter could/would switch hands up depending on the victim's fight and believe it is helpful knowing, from what we can ascertain - RD and BD are both right handed. Gloves of this type are designed to be used on either the left or right hand. The only way to know with certainty if a glove is inside out is examining the surface. I can't remember exactly but think the partial fingerprint was on the glove? The ability to determine which hand the glove was on could be determined by the partial/fingerprint. IF the print provides some evidence to the identity of the assailant (for example, more likely to be one over the other) knowing their dominant hand is useful. I don't post often and may be stating the obvious on all of this BUT I always find it helpful when individuals make posts that keep turning the stone over as it prompts other lines of reasoning.

I don't know for sure but seems the (previous) defense and prosecution's GAG ORDER was in place and applied to BD during the time BD made that photo/post and during other times he discussed the case. While there are many complexities to getting to the truth of this crime involving RD/BD/who else???? - I hope AM challenges the court for having not enforced THEIR GAG ORDER with BD. Why continue to prop up to BD with 'the rules do not apply to you'? FILE CHARGES for CONTEMPT and submit that image as evidence and PROSECUTE THEIR GAG ORDER to the full penalty (fines and incarceration). THAT will get him off the street and serve as some sort of help to the people of the community who have ALL been harmed by his/their behavior. His family might even have some relief in knowing where he is and what he is doing as TRUTH unfolds. BD/RD/?who else - may escape some penalty due to SOL/etc - but THIS is punishable right now.

Yes, it would be great for someone to finally hold Bo accountable.

Does the postponement of Ryan's trial date mean they're possibly looking further into other people's involvement? Or just giving the new lawyer time to catch up?

Giving the new lawyers time

@southerndaisy I am hopeful AM/Merchant Firm does this. My message to her would be a quiet and clear whisper 'go ahead girl .. take your first swing" - show everyone BD/ABS, RD, who else involved???? ... the DA, previous prosecutor, LE, GBI .... most importantly the Grinstead family/loved ones <3 , and on into the community - this RULE of LAW was created by the court, time to enforce it. Set the table. Can you imagine community members having to run into BD/ABS? Awful.

I hope the new attorney does expose the corruption and cover-up, but her main job will be defending Ryan and trying to prove his innocence. That is her job. I do think there's a better chance for the public to learn what possibly happened and who's all involved with Ashleigh at the helm. But ultimately, she's there for Ryan. I don't think Ryan is going to take a plea deal; in fact, I know he's not. He's wanting to fight this. Because of that reason, we should learn quite a bit during the trial.

I don't know if we'll ever really know what happened that night. I honestly don't. But we should end up learning a lot more than we know now with a trial. ☺

IMO RD's defense having the court apply the enforcement of THEIR (the court's) law - the gag order, would serve their client's defense. Rumor is BD will testify as a witness against RD. The jury would be able to make informed conclusions about this 'the rules don't apply to me, I lie when it serves me' witness. BD's violation of the gag order created an increased challenge for RD to receive a fair trail, created unnecessary (increased) pain for Tara's loved ones, drove up the cost paid by county taxpayers (as it is RD's right for a fair trial) in needing to move the trial out of the area, drove up the increased pain/inconvenience for all locals who will be required to travel (possibly at intervals of sequestration from family/others) to testify. JMO.
