The Lamp

I just finished binging Season 1, and one thing that stuck out to me is that supposedly Ryan broke in and killed Tara while she was sleeping. Yet if Tara had actually made it home that night, wouldn't she have turned on the lamp to let her neighbors know she'd made it safely? I suppose it's possible that since she didn't leave the party until 10:30 that night or so, maybe the neighbors were already asleep by the time she got home. But after listening to Part 2 of the blackout, I'm wondering if maybe Tara actually DID go to that party at the pecan orchard, and something went wrong. That's when they decided to drive her car back to the house and make it look like she had been there the whole time and just went missing.

I also think she went somewhere and they brought the car back. The neighbor testified (at Bo’s Wilcox County trial) the lamp system was for week days when Tara had night classes that were a bit of a drive away. He said they didn’t really do it on the weekends. There’s a ton of info that has come out since the podcast, especially during the past few months - if you haven’t already, check out the news articles, motions filed, trial and hearing videos, etc. I can’t promise you’ll feel any more confident about what happened to Tara, though.

Also PL’s interview with a lady who specifically remembers Tara’s car wasn’t home around 1:30 am Sunday. I believe RD made that morning call to her house to make sure no one was there so he could return her car.

The clock was at the wrong time and the headboard was broken too... but there is no way to prove that these weren't broken at some other stage and didn't seem to have any evidence on them.... I think earlier on in this thread somewhere someone mentions that the neighbour JP wasn't home the night TG went missing.. but returned the following day.
