Trial Thoughts

Why did no one ask the pageant contestant how she got into Tara’s house when she went to swap earrings? Was the door unlocked? Did she know where a spare key was hidden? Did she have a key herself? I was also surprised to learn that Zane Dill was at Tara’s house with a friend when Tara was not home that same day! This was not even mentioned in the latest trial episode, but I wanted to hear more! A friend of Bo and Ryan’s who just happened to be at her house just a few hours before she is believed to have disappeared certainly has my attention. Especially since—unless I have bad information—this same friend was referred to multiple times during the podcast (albeit by a different name), including his inclusion on the suicide note from the first half of season one. Does anyone here have more information on this???? And I agree with EVERYONE that the sound quality is unbelievably bad on Ryan’s confession. Very disappointing. Hopefully someone can create a full transcript for us at some point! And I feel that the prosecution was very much unprepared to present the confessi on in court. Imagine if they had actually played the audio in front of the jury on day 3 without all of the “kinks” worked out!

Shoudel said at Bo's trial that there was no audio or video of Ryan's "confession". I wish he had been called to the mat on that. Can't be a complete transcript without all the stuff that was edited out, unfortunately. I have to go watch Ashleigh in action. Missed it earlier. . I wonder if we are going to hear from Josh and the black Truck witnesses

Yes, until now, all I knew about was Shoudel’s written summary

Yeah I'm glad someone else picked up on that. Smh What in the actual F is going on here. So let me get this straight. Your a veteran GBI agent investigating the largest casefile in the state history of your bureau. And you got what a former student of Tara's 'Bo' claims to be the killer of your missing person. And you dont even record by audio or nothing. Just write it verbatim. Lol. You got to be kidding me. The lead prosecutor is got be pissed. Because she has absolutely nothing to work with. Honestly. And dont give me that ' of sound mind and free will' confession BS neither. It was so reliable that he didn't even record it? No sir, No ma'am. That will not score a conviction. Sorry kids. Burdens on the state. Say it with me. The Burdens on the State!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's my bad smh. My mistake. So at least they have that. Smh. Still not a slam dunk. But that does make a half decent argument

I was surprised the suicide note writer was mentioned during trial , albeit quickly and moved past. That portion just contributed to the bouncing around the first few days while not connecting all the dots. I missed the ZD portion - I’ll have to try and find it. I too wanted to clarification on how Dana got back inside.

The ZD information came from Phillip Luke, the first witness following the lunch break on day 1 of the trial. PL was there to pick up a dog Tara had been keeping for his family. The prosecution asked him if anyone went with him to pick up the dog, and he said that ZD was with him. That is literally the extent of ZD being mentioned.

There was a question by the defense asking where ZD went that night. Not sure if that will come up later....

I hope so! I’d definitely like to explore that a little further!

@mystere, I agree, the first couple of days were all over the place. I don’t understand why they brought up so many random people without connecting the dots.
