thats one of the problems with this case ,lack of transparency...

I did think it was terrible to have a 16 yr old girl’s name not redacted; however, I think it may be worse a 16 yr old girl was made to feel creepy bc her teacher was telling her she was sexy as f and her butt was too big. On top of all that .... she had to travel and testify in front of strangers. What a horrible experience!

It is a terrible and disgusting situation. We all know now and somebody prob got screenshots. In thinking about it just thought about the student and her parents not wanting her name to be public. The board might be liable for printing her name in the minutes. Just reminded me of HIPPA violations where personal information is not revealed. Hopefully the public now knows what ZD did and proper termination will soon follow.

Suspended with pay. So ZD got a paid vacation, kept his job, and the board enabled him to continue his perverted acts against minors. Okay then. SMH

Hopefully, they took down the minutes to redact the student's name, not to protect Mr. Dill. Hearings like that with a BOE are open to the public. Well, that cat's outta the bag now. Mr. Dill will have to put on his big boy pants and deal with it.

Someone called the board office and advised them to have the minutes removed , even though it was open to the public, the girl was a minor and her full name shouldn't have been included.

The young girl should’ve never felt “creeped out” by any teacher in her learning environment. And on top of that, never ever ignored by the people who should have been there, first and foremost, to protect her. The school board did her (and all female students at the HS) a major disservice. The system failed her, and the influential people who had the chance to make a situation right, chose not to. I am led to believe these are not morally good people. What do locals think about Doctor Mc?

Anyone heard any updates or is he still just suspended with pay until they make a decision? I didn't notice a date for any determination.

Just to let y'all know, the Fair Dismissal Hearing for Zane Dill is back up on the Ben Hill BOE website, with the student's name redacted: https://simbli.eboardsolutions.com/SB_Meetings/ViewMeeting.aspx?S=4011&MID=75096&T=1

Dill's ass should be fired, fired, FIRED!!!!!!!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED, FIRED!!!!!!! And any FOOL that takes up for his DUMBASS should have to take his ass into his/her home and let him stay with their teenage daughters...,..fuck that shit... I would throat punch his ass if he even looked at my daughter

Yeah... tell us how you REALLY feel girl! LOL

I feel for the student who surely struggled with what to do about this man’s inappropriate behavior - and no doubt STILL bothered by it. She’s brave and did the right thing. As a parent, agree with @brat - the BOE response should be a no-brainer.

I know. I feel bad for her because she came forward, then had to testify and be cross-examined, basically, at that hearing. She must have been terrified. I think the BOE believes her, but they are letting the GAPSC make the final call because they don't want to be the ones to fire him for misconduct, for whatever reason. Surely the PSC has made a decision by now. I guess the board will make the announcement at the next meeting.

One thing's for certain: The BH BOE is being watched closely, regarding this issue.

Wed, 27 Feb 2019 13:03:14 GMT

School boards love covering this kind of stuff up. Glad this is out in the open and people are watching.

The BOE is simply following protocol in order to CYA. The process is that it must go to the PSC first and then after they rule on it, the BOE can decide what they want to do. I really just think they do not want to be sued later for not following protocol. That being said, his certificate is not currently showing anything according to the PSC website. Perhaps they don't put anything up until a determination has been made. I will keep checking on that. I just have to prepare ya'll though... he has not done anything criminal so I expect a short suspension from PSC. I do not anticipate that his certificate will be revoked. In short, I predict that he will be allowed to continue being an educator. Hopefully this will at least go on his record. ^ not saying that I agree or that this is how it SHOULD be , but just what I think will happen.

Hopefully they’ll get him out of the classroom. Probably promote his ass to a district office job.

Thank you, @southern. He should be reprimanded at the very least, but I understand the BOE having to follow state protocol. Question: Why did they vote on keeping him on or not, and two vote no, if it were up to the psc? Is that just for show? TIA.

He’s no longer employed - resigned.
