https://deadline.com/2019/10/radio-rental-podcast-tenderfoot-tv-1202748150/amp/?__twitter_impression=true per payne “I really wanted to create a fun, new world for these stories to live — a place where the listener can feel truly immersed in the horror *without being weighed down by it. *“
weighed down by it = caring about real people?
I was one of the people who gave the season 1 of the podcast an awful rating on itunes because of that horrific "live taping" where everyone was hooting and hollering with zero respect for tara and her family. It seems as if Payne himself gets so effected by the ugliness of the subject matter, every once in a while he does a vanity project about the most sensationalist pieces of these real tragedies without the "weighing down" factor.
I was in somewhat disbelief right from the premise with this one. So I looked it up and BINGO. Fiction. Oh well...unsubscribed...
