After the expedition was sent, scientists realized that they made a terrible mistake. In this new universe, all physical objects -- including people! -- explode on contact. Things you were already touching (like your clothes) are OK. But touch something new, and you are a gonner. "gonner" is misspelled in English...

Incidentally, this verb testing is Boolean Algebra. It is the same as doing if this and/or/not that or something else. I currently do Brain Mapping.
