Any chance that DV files (.dv) could be added as a supported file type? I have quite a large library of DV files after importing a tonne of footage from old MiniDV tapes.

Can you possibly send us a short sample? Send to [email protected]. You can use WeTransfer.com (free) or similar. Thanks!

Any updates on whether DV files can possibly be added as a supported file type?

What about JPGs, PNG, TIFF? Is this for video only? We have both stock video and photos we use for our videos, and being able to locate, add tags, etc would be an all-in-one asset management tool. Thoughts?

Hi Doug, supporting jpg's etc shouldn't be a problem. A lot of menu items wouldn't apply of course but basic things like move/copy would work. Let me give it some thought. Thanks for the input.

Wow, fast response, thanks Chris! My team makes thousands of videos per month using raw footage, stock photos, video and music. We've tried Adobe Bridge, and our development team has promised to create a custom asset management tool that integrates into our workflow software used by our employees, but as you know it takes time to build it out, and my team of 9 could use something immediately. If you would be interested in white labeling, or any other kind of partnership, I would be open to discussing. [email protected]. Cheers!

Hi mbruzzese, We've added .dv as a file type. We cannot play them directly but proxies and transcoding work fine. Just add them to the catalog and then select them all and make proxies. You'll need to enable the .dv type in preferences. We're doing some final testing on the build and should have a release out soon. Thanks Chris
