Herxheimer reactions

Dear Dr. Tedone, first of all thank you for all the work you've done in this area. Your explanations of how things like CTE fit in with various forms of Motor neuron disease that can be tied to bacterial infection make more sense than anything else I've been told by other doctors or read anywhere. In 2016 I was diagnosed with a very rare form of ALS called axial onset. Instead of my limbs, my symptoms started in my core (weak abs, lumbar Area, And unfortunately my intercostals and diaphragm). I'm told that typical ALS affects about three out of a hundred people, And axial onset affects about one in a million. I was on read Radicava for six months and felt it was making my legs weaker, So I discontinued it. I stopped the drug on February 14, 2018. I am still taking Riluzole. I've been on the Deanna protocol for just over a month now. My fasciculations are still present, But seem to be calmer. I'm also taking liposomal glutathione and oxaloacetate. I've now been on IV rocephin 2 g per day, for 12 days. This past Saturday, Which was the ninth day on the Rocephin, my l egs gave out while taking a shower, And I fell. While I felt tired from standing in the shower like I normally do, I've never been close to my legs giving out like this. Since then I am able to walk still for short distance, But my legs seem much weaker then they were a couple of weeks ago. The rest of my body seems a little weaker, Other than my breathing, Which seems to be improved. Do you think this could be a Herx reaction to the antibiotic? The doctor who prescribed it thinks it may be, But he has not suggested that I back off the antibiotic unless my breathing becomes worse. I saw another doctor a couple of years ago who specializes in Lyme disease and he is prescribed oral doxycycline. I was on it for nine months and stopped several times due to what I assumed were Herx reactions. That Dr. Had told me to do this if my symptoms started getting worse. I also had read and one of your posts that Deanna was pulsing with Rocephin. I was wondering if that was due to Herx reactions that she may have been having. I understand that you cannot provide medical advice. I work for a Fortune 50 company and I worked very closely with many attorneys, So I understand all about professional liability. I was just hoping you could share Deanna's experience with the antibiotic combined with the Deanna protocol, And get your thoughts on what could be happening with my increased weakness. From everything I've been told by my neurologist and everything I've read about ALS, you normally don't fall off a Cliff this quickly. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, CJ
