I have recently tested positive for lyme after two years of progressing lower motor neuron symptoms.
I am currently being treated with Radicava and Riluzole. I used the referral system from ILADS and the names didn't include a local physician in the Columbus, Ohio area. (One of the names was actually an RN.)
I have a family member who is treating lyme symptoms with a local holistic physician and claims improvement without the side effects of antibiotics.
Can you please tell me if there is documented efficacy of natural medicine vs. antibiotics in treating lyme?
Are you hearing from patients who have responded to antibiotic treatment with resolution of ALS symptoms?
Do you personally know of any lyme literate physicians in the Columbus, Ohio area that may not be members of ILADS?
Thank you so much for your time.

I’m curious which route you ultimately settled on and if you recommend it?!!

I tried the Cowden Protocol for about 7 months. There were no changes. I decided not to spend thousands upon thousands more dollars out of pocket to go to a "lyme doctor". I did more research and did not find convincing evidence that natural lyme treatment or antibiotic therapy stops ALS. The website ALS Untangled is a useful resource for information on alternative therapies.
Good luck in your search.

ALS untangled Is disingenuous and mis leading. We proved with ALS mouse studies the benefit of the DP. Even more important thousands of ALS patients have reported the benefits of the DP. More importantly read latest developments on this web site.
ALS is a curable disease
