Andrew, I have sent you an email regarding the spinners. I am sorry to hear about this misfortune. If you have any other questions, please don't feel shy and contact us at email@example.com. Thank you for letting us know, I will help in any way that I can.
Just assembled my X+1Pt, noticed the spinners ride at different heights, about 2mm difference. Tried re-seating, one got a bit lower, but there still is a clear difference. Anything else you recommend, other than tightening the nuts well and checking before each flight? After all we are stressing plastic and there may be some give, causing a slippage under power.
@cocreatr- If you could send a picture to firstname.lastname@example.org I will have Tech Support contact you first thing on Monday so we can troubleshoot the issue. Thank you for letting us know and I will keep in contact with you so we can get you flying.
Thank you, Devyn, No worries, this condition is not critical, propellers airworthy. [IMG_4144](//muut.com/u/xcraft/s1/:xcraft:wCIs:img_4144.jpg.jpg) [IMG_4145](//muut.com/u/xcraft/s1/:xcraft:bbNM:img_4145.jpg.jpg)
> @cocreatr > Just assembled my X+1Pt, noticed the spinners ride at different heights, about 2mm difference I also noticed this as I was taking mine out yesterday, they just don't seem to seat on the motor shafts consistently. 3 of my spinners sit quite low on the shaft, which is a bit worrisome seeing that Andrew's apparently separated where the drilled bore met the threads...
@cocreatr- I got a notification you wanted to Skype but didn't see you on the page. Please call tomorrow between the hours of 8am-3pm PST and I will have our Tech Support work that out with you. I apologize I didn't catch that notification in time.
@bendrexl- have you tightened the spinners with a small rod onto the motor through that pinhole? It should be snug securing the propeller but not so tight as to break it. If you could insert some pictures I will have Tech Support look at it. Thank you for your reminder about the height difference.
@devynm no worry, we are so many timezones apart, it may be hard to find a time when you work and I don't sleep. Will leave messages for possible schedule via Skype.
@devynm - yep, tightened evenly just to 'snug', not overly tight as they are aluminum. However, the height isn't affected by how snug the spinner is, just the size/depth of the spinner's bore I think.
Also I had a prop detach yesterday, thankfully I was only hovering a few feet high at that moment! The short drop still bent/broke the bottom pylon's landing support rod though :( Inspecting the spinner, I noticed a small bit of metal stuck between two of the prongs, preventing that spinner from gripping the shaft as tightly as it should. @bendrexl- If you could arrange a Skype call for an hour out, let's take care of this with Tech Support.
@ben- Thanks for calling, I will follow up with you soon.
